Spring has come quickly with busy work schedules, but we’ve managed to have some fun around Jeju, too. Here’s a quick run down of birthdays, natural beauty on Jeju, and a visit from my awesome friend and old-roommate Rachel. Yay!

Hiking in a National Park just north of Seoul. It was cloudy, but still nice to get outside.

View point on our hike. We didn't climb the big mountain because it was still really snowy (early Feb).

Another monument at the Korea War Museum. It was really well done. Touching and very informative. They display so much gratitude for the US and UN involvement here.

We were in Seoul for Patrick's birthday, so had to get him some birthday pie. Happy birthday boy.

After time on the mainland, Rachel joined us on Jeju. We explored a lot, but highlights were the trick art museum...

February was also the end of mandarin season. Jeju mandarins = cheesy photo spots!

I finally got back on stage too! We did a faculty show called "High School Reunion". I was the prom queen-gone bad. Here's pre-scene 1.

And it ends at the 65th reunion - old age makeup galore. Almost half my class made it and said hi after! SOO fun!

This was just last week - the yellow is the rapeseed (canola) flowers which are in full bloom, and while we were gone for spring break, the pink cherry blossoms exploded. Now it's "snowing" petals.

The weather has been weird – it got very warm and lovely right before spring break. Then we went away, and since we’ve gotten back it’s been cool, rainy, and very windy. Not so nice for being outside. This spring has also been tough with bad air quality. We get “yellow dust” blowing over from the Gobi Desert (plus some pollution, I’m sure) in China, so we don’t have many blue-sky days right now. But we try to enjoy the close-range beauty, and keep our workouts indoors in the mean time.

Lot of love to you all and happy spring!
