Evernote goes to the Galapagos (and the Amazon)!

One of the biggest reasons that I use Evernote is the ability to quickly organize and document my ever changing life. This summer, my side and I spent two weeks traveling through Ecuador. This included a trip to the Galapagos and the amazon. Before we left, I prepared all of our travel documents in an Evernote notebook. This included all of our flight information and booking confirmations. With an Evernote premium account, I could easily download the entire notebook to my ipad for offline viewing. When I travel, I tend to download all of the documents on both my ipad and my iPhone just...

Evernote was Here!

Well, we are official – or at least official enough to warrant a visit from the Evernote Korea Team (click the photo above to see the Evernote Korea Blog about KiS). The KiS Community was happy to host Evernote for four hours to show them how we do things. While they were visiting, they had the pleasure of meeting with the KiS Administrative team, watching several courses (in Math and Science) and generally see how we use Evernote Business at our school. From my perspective, it was wonderful to meet all of the people that I had been interacting with over the past few months. Take a...

Evernote: Workflows for Education

There seems to be a lot of confusion out there about how to best use Evernote in a Classroom. Lots of people talk about how to be productive with Evernote, but few Power-Users are Teachers/Educators. There have been some great posts around the Evernote For-Schools Discussion boards, and some wonderful posts by Bec Spink in Australia, but what it comes down to for me and my Teachers is finding a way to make Evernote Easy and Ubiquitous. Imagine this: Creating a calendar event, which creates an Evernote note, which becomes a blog post you can share with students and assign to them for...

Evernote Travel: Blogging

Okay folks, what is my number one reason for using Evernote? Blogging on the go (and yes that image was shamelessly taken from Evernote’s website). Well, that seems counter intuitive since I am writing this in WordPress and I am singing the praises of Evernote for blogging (by way of Postach.io). The plain and simple truth is that WordPress takes a high degree of technical knowledge and time to setup and maintain, and its Mobile App sucks the marrow from life. My current blog workflow is to use Scrivener with Evernote and Coda2 to create content and hand-code styles for every post. It...

Evernote Travel: Intro

As it turns out, I have been using Evernote for more and more of my adult life. Over the past few years, I have kept up an Evernote account, but did not find it very useful. I invariably would go to my Evernote account when I attended technology conferences and wanted to store some information. When I moved overseas, I looked at Evernote again. After reviewing some of the more recent changes to the platform, and following the advice of a LifeHacker article, I dove right in. Now I cannot imagine how I went so long without using Evernote. In an effort to share my success, I am trying to...
